(A little About Me)
I've been interested in art all my life. (There are a few of us artist on my dad's side of the family) I started out by
drawing cartoon strips just for the teacher and classmates. Full of action, animals and cartoons. In the 4th grade I was the
first child ever, to bestow the honor of designing the school's bulletin board. It was my art teachers throughout my school
years that kept me
interested. I really appreciate them for it. Later on, I did however enroll in the Greenville S.C. Technical College's
Communication's Art and Technology Program. I didn't finish because of the math and finances. Later I returned to school and
settled for a degree in criminal justice, but never pursued a career in that field.
At age 38 I got a diagnosis of breast cancer stage 4 (means it had spread). I am lucky to be in remission for now at age
43. Finding art again has given me something other than cancer to obsess about and dwell on 24hrs a day. I feel alive again.
I truly enjoy working with dolls in many different ways. It brings out the kid in me. I enjoy adding clay and sculpting
them into something very different. I have always loved to paint but the inspiration was sometimes difficult. With the dolls
the inspiration just flows.
